I was educated at Cal State Northridge’s Kinesiology program, graduated 2016 with Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. Played junior golf in San Diego with a dozen plus wins throughout my junior career, played high school golf at Torrey Pines High School and freshmen year of junior college at Palomar College in San Diego. Following my competitive career I began an internship at Fit Golf Performance Center in San Diego which would lay the ground work for my expertise in strength and conditioning for Golf. Before eventually continuing my sport performance education at CSUN’s Kinesiology program.
Professional experience includes working as a certified personal trainer and strength and conditioning specialist for 5 years before switching exclusively to strength and conditioning specialist for sports. Spent the past two years 2 years as Ventura College Football program’s Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach working under Head Coach Football Coach Steve Mooshagian and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Shane Kimbrough, both of which have coached players that have gone on to play in the NFL including but not limited to the LA Rams and LA Chargers and Jacksonville Jaguars, along with countless others playing going on to play at the NCAA division 1 level as well as the Canadian Football League.
My approach to training golfers stems from my education in kinesiology which is a multidisciplinary study of human movement. What does that mean? It means that when you train with me you not only train the physical aspect of body movement as it relates to the game but also the metaphysical. The philosophical, the psychological, the neurological, the biomechanical and the physiological are interconnected. Training these aspects of sport compartmentalized would be a disservice to the athlete in any sport but is of particular importance in the game of golf because of its cerebral demands. This sounds complicated, I assure it is not. In the simplest of terms it is combining the old school with the new school to achieve the highest level of play possible.
